MY SISTER SORORS SANDS

This year is the 30th anniversary (in December) of eight young college educated women who chose the path of an illustrious Sisterhood. Most of us were strangers.
It's amazing how we have remained close over the years, even when we have lost touch or not seen each other for several years.
These now more mature women are my Sisters and Sisterfriends. We have shared our joys, sorrows, disappointments, and successes. Some of us are married with children, empty nesters, single but hopeful and yes, even a proud grandmother in the bunch!
I am so thankful that I have journeyed with these women through the years. I have shared my so far life experiences, leaned on their shoulders, avoided when I felt unworthy, and cried when the weight seemed too heavy.
God puts people in your life for a reason, a season and sometimes for a lifetime. Graceful and classy Ladies, I'm glad you are my lifetime. Thank you for being my family. I LOVE EACH OF YOU! Happy 30th anniversary!

AGE OF OBAMA

Get on board! As I follow the daily activities of this new and fresh administration, I'm compelled to get involved.

President Obama has asked us to keep the government accountable. It is the peoples' government. They are public servants and it is a privilege to serve. We have an obligation to serve also if we want to have a voice.

I am contacting the Department of Education to find out how I can become involved with revitalizing the American education system (at least, in my local school district). What will you do? We seem get enthusiastic about the federal government, but we must start with our local governments.

Start today! Get actively involved! Share!

DAWN OF A NEW DAY

Good Morning America,

TODAY! The torch is being passed from one generation to the next - Generation O. Our 44th President will be inaugurated at 11:58AM today. We have so much hope for Barack Hussein Obama.
We will hear about our responsibility and accountability in getting our country's situation back in right order. Understand how we got here - not just through Wall Street, but Main Street and yes, your/my street. The journey out will be long, but determined. Have faith in God to keep our steps ordered.
What will be your role? If you are a American citizen - no matter your race, nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation - it DOESN'T MATTER!! If you voted in this past election and made the decision to forward change - get moving! Take action.
I'm so proud of my two daughters - they have made some very smart decisions. I'm glad and truly blessed to be alive to witness this historic time with them. It is their time, their generation, their future!!
May God keep his hedge of protection around President Barack Obama and his family, administration and staff.
